A very chatty muse...

You know like a 7 y.o. in the back seat of the car, babbling about anything and everything. Well, here's what I did yesterday... Kristi from Coliebug wants a purse for shows. I had her pick one of my photos to use. She chose 3 and this is the first one done. The plan is to use her lampworked buttons on it for a closure. Very cool. The green fabric shown nearly caused me a heart attack though. I picked up just a quarter yard last year in Seattle, thinking that's all I would ever need. Silly me. So after a few hours on the internet and on the phone I was able to find some locally. Lesson learned! It's a Robert Kaufman fabric from the "Guatemalan rainbow" collection. I used the Megan Noel technique again and while I like it, the seams are too bulky for me. I am going to try attaching the lining differently next time. The next one will be with the Monterey Cherub photo. I found fabulous fabric's at Cia's Palette. She even sent a bonus swatch, the etc. fabric.
